SALTWATER SPINNING REELS

Model:Magnetic/Foam

(We even took this reel into saltwater and managed striped bass in the 20-pound range without any trouble at all, though if you do the same, we highly recommend not only carefully washing but also occasionally opening, cleaning, and air-drying this reel.) It doesn’t offer nearly the same durability as our top pick and runner-up do, however, and in larger sizes the price difference between it and those models is too negligible for most people not to invest just a little more for something offering much more longevity

stop nylon is treated with an outer hydrophobic coating and an inner PVC layer to prevent water intrusion
